CLIFF SCHERTZ

FOUNDER, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, AND PRESIDENT
BIOGRAPHY

Cliff is the founder, Chief Executive Officer, and President of Tiempo Development, where he is responsible for the strategic vision of the company. For over 25 years, Mr. Schertz has been leading and growing successful technology service companies, enabling his customers to achieve superior performance, high customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Prior to Tiempo Development, Cliff was the CEO of Camisa Technologies, where he and his team implemented and integrated customer relationship management (CRM) software solutions for hundreds of mid-sized companies such as United Concordia, Motorola, Weitz Construction, Harlan Bakeries, and Best Western International. Earlier, when Cliff was the Vice President of the CRM National Practice for ePartners, he grew ePartners from zero CRM sales to become the national sales leader for SalesLogix, Onyx, Pivotal, and Siebel mid-market software companies.

Cliff has a degree in Electronic Technology from Texas State Technical College and an MBA from Arizona State University’s WP Carey School of Business. When he is not meeting with Tiempo’s clients and prospects or speaking at an industry event, he enjoys mentoring entrepreneurs, serving on nonprofit boards, reading business books, traveling with his wife, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

BRUCE STEELE

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
BIOGRAPHY

As COO, Bruce provides strategy and leadership for Tiempo Development’s service portfolio and drives the company’s software engineering, professional services, consulting, and customer support initiatives forward. Mr. Steele is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of management experience in the areas of operations, corporate development, sales, and strategic planning with leading technology firms.

That gives us the freedom to create the most powerful software we can and provide professional services that continue to enhance our clients’ value experience throughout the software lifecycle.”

Before joining Tiempo, Bruce held a number of leadership positions at ePartners, a highly regarded business solutions consultancy recognized repeatedly by Microsoft’s with its prestigious Global Partner of the Year award. Under Bruce’s leadership as ePartners’ Executive Vice President of Operations, Sales, and Solution Strategy, the company grew from a $5 million start-up to a $90 million leader in its industry. Bruce’s career also includes senior-level positions with a number of other high-growth technology integrators, consultancies, and engineering firms.

Bruce has a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas at Arlington. Outside of his involvement at Tiempo, Bruce and his wife enjoy travel, golf, and exciting mobile technologies.

JAMES WALBOM

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
BIOGRAPHY

James has significant experience in corporate finance with a focus on growth technology companies. He spent more than 15 years in venture capital finance, corporate development, and strategic planning.

Prior to joining Tiempo Development, James was the Managing Director of Commercialization at the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen). In that role, he was responsible for all commercialization and licensing activities, and used his expertise to counsel company executives in the areas of venture finance and corporate development. He oversaw all business operations, contracts, and intellectual property agreements for a $45 million strategic initiative in personalized medicine with several international partners.

“I enjoy working with great people to help solve our customers’ problems. We have a positive impact on the lives of both our customers and our staff as we recruit outstanding professionals and then train, mentor, and support them so they can build powerful software solutions for our customers.”

James also was the CFO at Desert Document Services, Inc., a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider serving the mortgage-lending industry. In addition to being responsible for all financial operations, he successfully led the company’s efforts to be acquired by Wolters Kluwer Financial Services in January 2007.

James received an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Entrepreneurship and Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona. Outside of Tiempo, James is an active board member of the Venture Fellows program at the University of Texas in Austin. He is a member of the Arizona Technology Council’s capital formation and cloud technology committees, and also participates in the local chapter of Financial Executives International. James was a finalist for the Financial Executives International 2014 CFO of the Year award.

JOHN FRASER

CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
BIOGRAPHY

As CMO, John manages all Go To Market efforts, strategies and tactics for Tiempo. The Marketing, Sales Operations, Business Development, Client Solutions Architect groups all work under John's leadership. He is responsible for driving the Tiempo story and value proposition into the market, grow awareness, create increasing demand, manage pipeline and oversee all phases of sell cycles. John has over 30 years of experience leading teams that focus on Sales, Marketing and Support with companies of all size and stages of the life cycle.

Over the last 10 years a strong proof statement and value proposition has been created. Our challenge is to make more companies aware of the Tiempo’s story and introduce them to the benefits of a Nearshore approach."

Before joining Tiempo, John has had a wide range of Go To Market leadership roles with companies with various levels of size and scope. In the 90s, he was one of the youngest SVPs at Sybase and helped drive growth from $70 mil to $1 Bil in 7 years. During his years in the Denver- Boulder Co area, he held many COO, CMO, EVP positions at companies that were in venture backed, high growth and M&A stages. In 2010, John helped build a new Analytics sales and marketing team at Accenture.

John has a Bachelors degree in Economics/ Business from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY and an MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. In addition to his work at Tiempo, he and his wife enjoy all sports, travel and great times with their 4 children.

HILDA ROY, M.ED., SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Vice President of Talent and Culture
BIOGRAPHY

As the VP of Talent and Culture, Hilda is responsible for the hiring, development and retention of Tiempo Development’s employees. Hilda’s organization is also responsible for driving our Culture and the initiatives that support a work environment where our employees grow, are challenged, engaged, and proud to work at Tiempo Development.

Prior to joining Tiempo, Hilda held several Human Resources leadership positions in the high tech industry, the healthcare industry and the hospitality industry. Hilda has managed functional Human Resources areas including Recruiting, Training, Benefits, Safety, Employee Relations and Strategic Planning. Hilda worked for Intel Corporation for 12 years where she managed Assembly and Test Manufacturing Training and Supply Chain Training worldwide.

Hilda graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico and holds a Master’s Degree in Administration from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Hilda holds Senior Professional certifications from the Human Resources Certification Institute and the Society of Human Resource Management. She is an Advisory Board Member of Mountain States Employers Council, a member of Arizona Human Resources Executive Forum and the Harvard Club of Phoenix.

Outside of Tiempo, Hilda enjoys reading, fishing and everything sports. She enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her adult children.
