CEO Receives Lifetime Entrepreneurial Achievement Award

Cliff Schertz named a member of the 2015 Sun Devil Select Class of the Center for Entrepreneurship at ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business

Tempe, Arizona —  Tiempo Development CEO Cliff Schertz has been named a member of the 2015 Sun Devil Select Class of the Center for Entrepreneurial Achievements at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University (ASU). The managers of the awards program stated, “Your thoughts on innovation and track record of success have demonstrated your incredible capabilities as a business owner or leader. We are proud to call you an ASU alum and look forward to celebrating you at our annual Sun Devil Select luncheon on March 20, 2015.”

Part of the mission of the Center for Entrepreneurship at the W. P. Carey School of Business is to foster and empower entrepreneurs within classroom settings and across the larger ASU community. The Center for Entrepreneurship provides resources to student entrepreneurs, invites executives and mentors to share their experience and ideas, and showcases entrepreneurial, successful businesses based in Arizona. Known as Sun Devils, ASU alumni across the globe who have achieved outstanding entrepreneurial accomplishments are acknowledged and celebrated with the Sun Devil Select Class award. They are also invited to share their innovative spirit and success stories with current students who have entrepreneurial aspirations. The 17 business leaders in the small 2015 Sun Devil Select Class represent a broad spectrum of financial, manufacturing, logistics, professional services, real estate, and technology companies. Similar to Tiempo, many of these organizations boast a variety of industry and media awards that highlight their accomplishments.

As the founder, CEO, and President of Tiempo Development, Schertz is responsible for the strategic direction of the company. He has been leading and growing successful technology companies for more than 25 years, enabling his customers to achieve superior performance, high customer satisfaction, and profitability. Before he started Tiempo Development, Schertz was the CEO of Camisa Technologies, where he and his team implemented and integrated customer relationship management (CRM) software solutions for hundreds of mid-sized companies such as United Concordia, Motorola, Weitz Construction, Harlan Bakeries, and Best Western International. Earlier, when Schertz was the Vice President of the CRM National Practice for ePartners, he grew ePartners from zero CRM sales to become the national sales leader for SalesLogix, Onyx, Pivotal, and Siebel mid-market software companies.

“I feel honored to be a member of the 2015 Sun Devil Select Class and its exclusive group of highly accomplished business leaders,” said Schertz. “I believe this award is very much a reflection of the innovative accomplishments of the clients and partners who engage with Tiempo Development, as well as a result of the talents of the outstanding software engineers and tech leads who create powerful software in our nearshore development centers. I look forward to meeting with the dean and reconnecting with my peers with whom I attended ASU, and I’m thrilled to be able to share with, and hear from, today’s ASU students with an interest in exploring entrepreneurial careers and business models.”

Schertz received his MBA from ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business in 2003. He also has a degree in Electronic Technology from Texas State Technical College. < /span>
